Surprise! The Octopunx site has a facelift!

Although February was our beta, I’ve mentioned that this entire first year is a bit of a beta as we continue to introduce features and stress test the site.

After building the previous site for awhile, I started to get frustrated with formatting, especially when it came to the video playback and playlist features. Also the slideshows kept breaking and I probably tried fixing them fifteen times to no avail. 😅

After doing some research, I was able to port over everything to a different builder, which offered a lot more natural options for playlists and video archiving. You can now see all of the films, streams, and series in three clean catalogues, and with a search function! Additionally,

  • Automatic German translation integration - use the drop down in the upper right to access an auto-translated German edition of the site.

  • Bonus features are better organized on every film page, and contain descriptions

  • On every series page, the episodes each get a description and their own pages. I now have the capability to break every show into seasons.

  • Free and Premium members have interfaces more customized to their experiences

  • Some pages feature ✨trailers✨ in the header that autoplay and give you a preview!.…on mute, of course.

  • Galleries and soundtracks are now sorted in the Extras tab, and do not need a log-in to access.

  • You can access playlists in the upper left corner of every episode page. Series will automatically play the next episode whenever you finish one.

  • Existing and future ports of free Youtube content will be available to free and premium members. VODs of Patreon group calls will tend to be available for both. BTS production streams formerly on Patreon will be exclusive to Premium members.

  • And we have this new “News” tab as well, where I can provide updates about new releases, Octopunk projects, and more!

Just a heads up, some films and videos that are standalone will be the header of the page - click the play button to play them.

Your membership STILL works the same on this site, so no need to make any new account or anything! This update was entirely cosmetic, so no backend changes need apply.

I still have a lot of updates to make to the site - most notably, significant ports from Patreon and Youtube over to here. Having to edit film so much lately means I can’t do that simultaneously, but in a few weeks when I am back to working more in Unreal and can run VOD edits in the background, I’ll start more earnestly on The Big Move(tm).
