When does Octopunx launch?
IndieGogo patrons get access to a free beta month in January 2025. In February, the website will open to the public and any memberships purchased thru the IndieGogo will activate.
I was a member of the old Patreon. What does that mean for my membership?
Any tenure you built up in your previous Patreon membership is automatically credited to your account, and you will continue to get iron-on patches on your yearly anniversary dates.
Patreon had six years of content. What happened to it now that Patreon is closed?
Our scripts and behind the scenes galleries are now hosted in the community section of Octopunx. As for our old group calls and livestreams, they are selectively being taken from Youtube, edited and remastered if needed, and crossposted to Octopunx for all members (including free members). Some old streams may be taken down if they had significant technical issues or simply weren't engaging.
How much does it cost?
We offer a free tier with ad-free access to our backlist of content, pilot episodes of new shows, and all community features. Our Basic Membership of $4.99/month or $49.99/year includes access to the entire website, ad free, including new shows like Ships and Giggles and Breakout Rolls. VIP memberships will be open to the public starting in 2026 for $19.99/month or $199.99/year.

We guarantee new episodes, live series, podcasts, or films every single month. Usually a season of one of our shows will release new episodes for 1-2 months straight, and then we will switch to a different new show or film launch the following month. Our filmmaker showcases rotate with new films every quarter!
Can I get an Octopunx membership through YouTube?
We do not currently offer a $4.99/month tier that includes Octopunx content, although this may be an option we explore in the future. There may be some folks who just want to access our content withot all the other benefits of Octopunx, coupled with some of the ease-of-access of YouTube. Currently you can get an Octopunk Media YouTube Membership for $2.99/month, which essentially just includes chat emotes for any Octopunk Media live broadcasts, similar to the benefits of our Twitch subscriptions.

Where can I send my screenplay/actor reel/movie for distribution?
Please don't send any unsolicited material. We delete pitches and materials unread. We are also not a distributor and do not currently take aquisitions of films or series. If you would like to be considered as an actor in a future project, please follow Octopunk Media on social media for open calls. We don't keep reels and resumes on file when we are not actively casting.
What methods of payment are accepted for membership?
Our payment portal is powered by Google Pay, so any compatible payment methods with GP are available, including credit card and PayPal.
What TV apps are available?
None currently, but a Roku app is under development.
How do I cast Octopunx to my TV through Chromecast?
If you open octopunx.tv in Google Chrome on a laptop or desktop, you can cast to a Chromecast compatible device, such as a Smart TV! Just connect your Chromecast device and your computer to the same local network (wifi or LAN) and you can cast either the full browser window or just the video player. Open Octopunx In Google Chrome and go to the upper right of your browser window. Click the three vertical dots. Scroll down to "Cast, save, and share" and hit "Cast." Chrome will scan for compatible devices. Click the device of your choice to connect. If you want to control playback, captions, etc, you can do that from your browser window. Alternatively, go to the video player of the video you want to watch, and click the Chromecast icon in the bottom right corner of the player controls to cast via the player alone.

We do not accept gifts or mail on behalf of any actors or crew, so if you want to send something to one of our collaborators, it is best to reach out to them directly.
Can I be an intern? I promise you don't have to pay me.
We don't believe in unpaid interships, and unfortunately don't have the capital to hire additional help beyond that. We also don't have a studio space or brick and mortar location, so it's mostly just Michelle in her loft doing all the work. We may open some kind of accelerator program for young artists at some point, though, and we occasionally commission artists. Keep an eye out for open calls.
